Working Together

"In all chaos there is a cosmos, in all disorder a secret order."

— Carl Jung

What appears confusing, constricting, contradictory or irrational in our lives is often far more organised than it first appears. Beneath even our most frustrating patterns is usually an attempt to protect something important. The task is not to eliminate these patterns, but to understand them well enough that something new becomes possible.

This work is an invitation to attend carefully to what is actually happening and, patiently and steadily, create room for something more alive and fully yours to emerge.

It takes the form of honest, intelligent and challenging conversations with depth, immersion, consistency and structure built into the design.

Conversations are ninety minutes in length and are supported via email contact.

Each conversation builds on the last.

The process is lightly structured, but spacious enough for real thought, genuine exploration and the kind of depth that only becomes possible when there is time to follow something beyond its first explanation.

Three ways to work together

where most people begin

finding ground

We begin by slowing things down and paying close attention to what is actually happening beneath familiar feelings and behaviours. Together we start tracing the moments that destabilise, constrict, or pull life out of shape, often in ways that are subtle, longstanding and difficult to explain. The early conversations create a shared language for the work and begin opening a more spacious, compassionate understanding of the self.

Includes

  • — Three × ninety-minute conversations
  • — Email contact between sessions
  • — Introduction to the map of defensive and protective archetypes

loosening the old patterns

As the work deepens, the underlying organisation of the psyche becomes easier to recognise in real time. We explore the roles, protections, adaptations and identities that once served an important purpose, but may now be limiting movement, vitality or freedom. Through careful conversation, symbolic exploration, reflection and practical experimentation, new ways of relating to yourself and others begin to emerge. Six conversations gives room for something real to shift.

Includes

  • — Six × ninety-minute conversations
  • — Email contact between sessions
  • — Deeper work with the map of protective and defensive archetypes
  • — Reflective tools and guidelines
  • — A precise summary of our work as a pointer towards further exploration

becoming ourselves

In the final phase of the work, attention turns toward integration, authorship, and the slow process of inhabiting life differently. The emphasis is on remaining connected to yourself while participating more fully in your life. What opens up at this point can be unexpected. As life no longer organises so tightly around management, parts that have been held back or pushed aside such as fun, creativity, vitality, directness, inner authority and emotional range can begin to return naturally. These conversations are held weekly, so the work has the continuity and immersion that real depth asks for.

Includes

  • — Twelve × ninety-minute conversations, weekly
  • — Email contact between sessions
  • — Introduction of the medicinal archetypes
  • — Reflective materials including poems and stories
  • — Personalised, recorded visualisations

“I came to this intensive program at a time when I knew I was about to face a period of challenges in my life that I wanted to be well-prepared for.

Working with Tamsin has been such a rewarding experience for me. Her kind, thoughtful engagement and perceptive questions have guided me to some actually quite profound insights about why I behave the way I do, and made me feel comfortable to open myself up to taking different paths.

Yes, I now feel better equipped to deal with the challenges which lie ahead, but I also feel like I have truly gotten to know myself at the age of 46. What a gift!”
